About me

Born and raised in Victoria, BC, Canada

Currently living in the Lower Mainland

Love animals, trees, wood, rocks and minerals, kindness (and dragons)

I am a centennial baby (and a full earth sign Taurus)

Why a Blog?

A friend recently opened up a wellspring of written word within me; though that outlet is no longer available, I decided to risk ‘going public’ with what I can and thus started this blog. That and the fact I suffer from depression and anxiety and see this as a way to speak to others about it.

My heritage is Welsh/German, but I AM CANADIAN!

I am bi-lingual: I speak and write English (Canadian – NOT American) and Sarcasm fluently 🙂

My Family resides in Victoria and the Lower Mainland.

I am looking to laugh more this year that ever before.

  1. 🙂

  2. Thanks. I agree.

  3. Hey Arkay,
Did you spend time laughing this weekend?
(referring to your last line above)

  4. Hey Harmony: Not really, but I did laugh more on Easter Sunday (I got an invite to an old friends for the afternoon) than in the past two years toto. Thanks for asking tho.

  5. Hey, thanks for your link to my blog. Very kind of you. We just came back from spending a month in Victoria, have family there. You live in a beautiful place.

  6. You’re welcome katyboo1. That post was worth a link. Yes, the Pacific Northwest is a most beautiful place to live. Other places are wonderful to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

  7. All you’d have to do is make some deeply insightful, wonderfully caring (and often witty) comments to some of MY posts like you do for the Ol’ Man et. al. and you could be one of my personal saviours too! (I’ve decided not to cap the membership in that club anytime soon

Part of the club, honey *bats eyelashes*

    PA laughs!

  8. LOL PA! Trust me to set myself up for a minimalist simplification like that.

Ok, some other sweet sticky condiment, you’re in, but only ’cause of the excessively cute eyelash bat, I want you to know that.

  9. No problem, Honey

There, is that one sticky enough?

  10. OK,you turned off your comments to your farewell post, but if I comment on here, you should still get an e-mail or at least see this on your dashboard that hey, we love ya man!

  11. I don’t know you and, honestly, haven’t even read your blog, other than the farewell post. I just stumbled across it a few minutes ago. Being a “pessimistic idealist” myself, that farewell sounded ominous to me. This might sound cheesy or cliche or whatever (and it probably is), but I just wanted to say “don’t do anything rash”. Friends come and go. Such is life. I obviously don’t know the circumstances, but if the friends you have are that easily “put off” for good, they aren’t worth having anyway. If they are REAL friends, all will be forgiven, though it may take time. It seems like you have a decent support network on this site, so use them. Anyway, take care. Hope to see you back soon.

  12. I love your site. Keep it up !

  13. Hey! Looks like we have a lot in common lol. I am from Canada too, Taurus, and can definitely write sarcasm fluently.

I’ve been struggling with depression myself for the past year or so and I just started blogging a few weeks ago and its really been helpful! Good luck! : )
